Predictions for Real Estate in 2025

On December 12th, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) held an economic summit where leaders shared key insights into the market’s future. Here are some of their top predictions:

  • Mortgage rates are expected to continue falling. However, affordability challenges will persist, making it tough for first-time homebuyers to enter the market.
  • The supply of new home inventory could slow down due to potential incoming policies from President-elect Trump on tariffs and immigration. The expected policies may lead to labor shortages and higher material costs, directly impacting the homebuilding market.
